Q:
Do you feel computers are better than hands-on materials?

A:
We do not advocate replacing the hands-on materials with software.
We recommend enhancing one with the other. Our customers tell us
that using the software rekindles the student's interest in the
hands-on materials.

The computer does enjoy one major advantage over materials, however.
It can make the materials come alive on the screen, thereby exercising
all of the senses except the sense of smell. Brain studies reveal that
the more senses we involve in the learning process, the quicker we
learn, and the longer we retain.

Our experience has shown that using MECS software does eliminate the
necessity of purchasing certain very expensive hands-on materials.
