Born July 15, 1959, in Clermont, FL, he was a son of the late Douglas Obermiller and Lois Beseke Obermiller. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Obermiller, and the love his life, his wife Susan Avery Obermiller. Robert, known by many as Rocky, was a career real estate broker and realtor. He found great joy being on the lake with his family and he and Susan built their retreat on Lake Hartwell. Robert and Susan were equine enthusiasts.
